Transcript cleanup helps the Assistant retrieve better evidence. You do not need to rewrite everything, but important names and decisions should be clear.

Review the session

  1. Open Transcription.
  2. Select a completed session.
  3. Read the beginning, key decisions, and any sections with names or dates.
  4. Rename the session if the title is unclear.

Polish when useful

Use polishing when you want a cleaner version for reading or indexing. Keep the original meaning intact.

Good candidates for polishing:

  • Meeting summaries.
  • Dictated notes.
  • Interviews with repeated filler words.
  • Transcripts with important decisions.

Preserve evidence

Do not edit a transcript in a way that changes what was said unless you clearly mark your own notes.
