Install OmniForge from the official download page. The desktop app includes the interface and manages the local services it needs to search documents and process recordings.
Install the app
- Go to omniforge.online/download.
- Choose the installer for your computer.
- Open the downloaded installer.
- Follow the operating system prompts.
- Open OmniForge.
On first launch, OmniForge may need a moment to prepare local services. Keep the app open until the setup messages disappear.
Sign in or continue locally
You can start with the free plan. Signing in can unlock account-based limits and billing features, but the core local workspace remains on your machine.
If you do not want to sign in immediately, start with one workspace and a small set of files. You can sign in later from the account menu.
Keep the app updated
OmniForge shows update information in Application Settings. Updates can include new file support, reliability improvements, and fixes for local services.
Open settings, then check the Updates section when you want to confirm your current version.
